Following the tremendous success of the Flowers of The Month Cup and Saucer Collection, Portmeirion launch 3 more collections featuring a different flower for each month. Round Trinket Boxes, Heart Boxes and Photo Frames add another dimenssion to this versatile Gift Range. Whether it is to commemorate a special occassion or birthday these gifts make an ideal present.

A new range of Platinum Jewellery has been added to most of the exsisting Jewellery Collections. Both contemorary and traditional designs are included in the range with a clever use of highly decorative stones to create a stunning array of designs.

The Sophie Conran Range has now been extended to include Textiles, including a childs Apron and Hat, Glassware, crafted to compliment the distinctive ceramic shapes and practical woodware for the serious chef.
The Ceramics have also been extended to include a teapot, covered sugar bowl and cream jug which makes the whole collection complete for everyday use. Some of the new items will not be available until Novemeber 2006.

A complete range of femine and delicate bone china mugs are introduced in time for Christmas. Vintage Rose depicts some of Britains best loved and oldest roses in a variety of shades.
There are also extensions to the fun Max range guaranteed to raise a smile especially among dog lovers.

Production problems continue with all Tablemats and look like carrying on for some time to come. Inevertably this causes delays with some orders, we will e-mail all customers affected by this problem to give details of the current situation.

It looks like the long running saga surrounding textiles has finally been resolved and all items should be available by the start of July.

February is one of the busiest times for those involved with the China and Pottery market. It signals the beginning of the major international trade fairs where the likes of Portmeirion lay out their new ideas for the coming year. One of the first Fairs on the circuit is the International Spring Fair in Birmingham which starts on the first Sunday in February and from which we have just returned.

The first new pattern to be launched for 2006 is Gingko. Based on the leaves of the Gingko tree it comes in two accented colour ways of Aubergine and Green. The shape has an oriental feel which compliments the design well. It is a bright clean pattern and certainly the type of design Portmeirion does well. The range begins with all the best selling items offering a range of plate and bowl styles which ensures it is versatile enough to fit any occasion.

Up The Garden Path by Portmeirion is a small but extremely charming range of giftware which cleverly incorporates quotes from Oscar Wilde's"The Importance of Being Earnest".

This design just cries out summer high tea in the finest British tradition with classic British humour from each piece guaranteed to raise a smile. Complimented by Tablemats and coasters, a selection of melamine, textiles and new fragranced giftware this range is extremely pretty without being too schmaltzy and a must for those who love Oscar Wilde or just prefer something a little different.

Botanic Blue brings together two traditions in British Pottery. The classical combination of Blue and White with the timeless appeal of Botanic Garden. The design is soft but still detailed and comprises of a small tableware section introducing new classical shapes to items such as the teacup and sugar basin, Fragranced Giftware, Textiles, Tablemats and Coasters and Melamine.
There is definitely a soft and feminine feel to this design and this is enhanced by a new fragranced Giftware line which includes drawer liners and Foam Bath. The feminine theme is carried on to the textiles which see the inclusion of padded hangers.

Together with Portmeirion, Sophie Conran of the Conran design and culinary dynasty has created a range of stylish and practical cookware, tableware and kitchenware.

The collection reflects Sophie's vivacious personality and appreciation of innovative craftsmanship. The pieces in the collection have been designed with a nod to Japanese serenity and a wink at English eccentricity.

A cookery and lifestyle writer with her own food company, Sophie, a busy mother of two, has designed the collection to look as beautiful in the kitchen as it does on the dining table.

There are a number of important changes taking place to some of the existing lines available from Portmeirion.

Textiles- Owing to faults in delivered goods Portmeirion are now looking for a new supplier of Textiles. This inevitably means that there will be alterations to the designs. As soon as details are available the Diary page will be updated.

Soho and Splat- The base colour of Soho and Splat is changing slightly to a different shade of white. There are limited stocks of the original colouring available and customers are urged to order early to complete collections.

There are a number of retirements in all ranges but especially Pomona. Please bear with us as we update the site as quickly as possible.

Christmas was a busy time, although it started late and the rush of orders at the end of November , start of December took us all by surprise. Portmeirion did well in raising its game and managed to get most things to us in time. There were serious problems with textiles, which continues into February. Thousands of pieces of textiles, which Portmeirion have made under licence, were faulty and had to be returned to the manufacturer. They also had insufficient stocks of other items which are licensed out such as trays and placemats causing more problems with supplies. We hope that we managed to get most things to our customers in time and we were packing boxes through the night in the final couple of weeks, although we apologies to anyone who was disappointed.
We would like to thank all our customers for their continuing support and we hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas.
