Roses in the collection

Fragrant Cloud

Description: A Hybrid Tea Rose introduced by Tantau in 1967.
Coral-red flowers becoming Geranium-red. Strong scent a mixture of damask rose, spice and citrus.

Polar Star

Description: large flowers with distinct central cone, ideal for cutting.
Lightly fragranced stems range in height from 90-120 cm

Portmeirion Rose

Description: This lovely new rose has flowers of a little above medium size. They are shallowly cupped in shape and of a clear, rich deep pink colour. The growth is not tall, but broad and bushy - just what is needed for the front of a border and for smaller gardens. It would, if required, make a good bedding rose.

Scarborough Fair

Description: Impressive large rose. This rose has a modest beauty. It is one of a group of varieties like Corvedale’ and ‘Windflower’, that is descended from the old Alba Roses. These roses have much of the simple charm of the Albas as well as their hardiness, but repeat-flower with remarkable regularity.
The petals in the bud curl around to form a ball, which opens to a perfect little cupped flower of pure soft pink; eventually opening wide to reveal a blush pink flower of the utmost delicacy; displaying a bunch of golden stamens. Charming at all stages.

Teasing Georgia

Description: A yellow rose of delicate beauty; the flowers are of a particularly pleasing cupped formation. The centre petals are in the form of a rich, deep yellow cup, while the outer petals fall back and fade to palest yellow providing a most pleasing, two-tone effect. The growth is strong but graceful, displaying the flowers nicely. Pleasant, medium-strong Tea Rose fragrance.

Warm Wishes

Description: A superb Hybrid Tea with large and fragrant, high-centred blooms of a peachy-coral shade. The growth is strong and it flowers repeatedly on a healthy, well-balanced bush with dark, luxurious foliage. 2.5 ft.
